Hey everybody! I hope you haven’t melted in the heat and humidity. And if you don’t know what i’m talking about, count your lucky stars! Speaking of, did anyone catch any of the Perseid meteor shower? I live in the city so no shooting stars for me. I’ll just have to hope one of you made a wish for me.
First, I have to confess that in the last chapter I had the meeting between Eric, Sookie, and Desmond happening during the daytime. WHOOPS! It’s because of what was coming in this chapter, but I got ahead of myself. You don’t need to reread the last chapter, just know that I changed it so that meeting happened just after sundown.
Onto the meet of this update. I apologize that these chapters took longer to get out than I expected. You’ll see why. Lots of research and random questions to my sister this time around. Originally this was all one chapter, but it ended up super long, so it got divided up into two. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂
These are the last chapters before we actually begin the actual play. Up until now, I’ve only worked with the backstory that was never fleshed out in the original text. Most of the theater-goers at this time would well versed in the war that Shakespeare mentioned, which, if I recall correctly was supposed to be all the crazy shit between England and Spain that led to the defeat of the Spanish Armada. The Spanish Armada happened in 1588 and Much Ado was written in 1598…so I could be wrong. It is summertime and I gave my Shakespeare brain a vacation.
Anyhow, lemme know what you think! Leave comments! Reviews! Unicorn smiley faces! Whatever floats your boat.
As usual a mad amount of love goes out to my sister for beta-ing. As well as to Kittyinaz and Realjena who were immense helps on these chapters.
But any way it goes, ENJOY!
Mad Lovely,
Secret Nerd Princess
