A #Garcy Present

So it’s been a rough few weeks to be a Timeless fan. We’ve been fighting to save this show we love for so long now. But through the good times and the bad, the #Garcy fandom has always been around to bring a smile or a chuckle, depending on what’s needed for any given day.

So this little update offers you a present to the #Garcy community in the form of a one-shot that fills in the blanks of what happened when Lucy spent the night in Flynn’s room. It’s really fluffy with a nice side of angst and probably the most romantic thing I’ve ever written. Bask in it, friends. On Vodka and Other Things

And just because your such awesome followers, I also got another chapter of Threading the Timelines for y’all. Threading the Timelines — Chapter Seven

Two stories, two weeks in a row! WHOOP WHOOP!

As per usual, I hope this little post finds you well and happy. And if not, I hope at least my little stories bring you happiness.

Mad Lovely,

Mad Lovely,

Tuesday Night Goodies

Hey folks!

I’m back late this Tuesday night with some goodies for you.

First a new chapter of Threading the Timelines. Ghosts, forbidden colors and Flynn’s house, OH MY! Events are just barrelling along now.  Chapter Six

And a brand new one shot. It’s set in the Sherlock universe after the events of The Final Problem and is probably about as fluffy as I get, which means there’s a hefty dose of angst before you get to the candy center.

Strip Away My Armor
: When Sherlock destroys Molly’s coffin, he demolishes the walls that protected him. Will he survive the feelings that rush in to fill the void? Will Molly survive his final confession? Set after the events of The Final Problem. #Sherlolly *one shot* for now. Possibility for future chapters.

Alrighty then, I hope this little missive finds you in good spirits. Read away and have a  great week!

Threading the Timelines

Hi hi. Yeah, I know, it’s been a while, eh? Sorry about that. But I’m back, YAY! With a new story with several chapters up already. It’s a Timeless story starting at the end of season 2 for anybody within earshot who watches it. And if you don’t watch it, rectify that situation sooner rather than later. It’s awesome. Stanford historian gets recruited by a secret government agency to go and save history. It’s freaking awesome. Great writing, diverse cast and storytelling. It’s amazeballs. Just go watch it, okay?

And then read the new story if you’re so inclined.

Fanatical Addict

Hey folks!

Just here to give y’all an update. I haven’t gone into hiding, nor have I forgotten about you guys or my stories. My brain just went a little sideways and decided it needed to obsess over something else for a little while, namely my unadulterated love of television. (I think it wanted a break to write something other than fiction.) The plan is to have new chapters for you next week (Happy Labor Day BTW) of both Much Ado About Vampires and Pride & Prejudice & Vigilantes.

I will say that I wrote a new Arrow One-Shot that’s up, if you’re looking for a story to tide you over. She’s Got a Way — Thea decides to throw a ball at the Queen Mansion. Olicity fluffy goodness. Based on the Billy Joel song She’s Got a Way.

But back to the topic at hand. (or fingertip if you prefer) Some of you might have guessed that I have a fierce abiding love of great television. I spend far too much time considering characters, plots, and theorizing on where any given show is headed. I love it. It feeds my soul a diet of twists and turns and heartbreaking revelations. I don’t have school any more for this outlet so I thought, “I don’t need no stinking assignments to finagle to include whatever show I’m obsessing over this week. Nope! I can do it all on my own!”

So I created a new website: Fanatical Addict. I spent the last couple weeks bingeing and writing about Dexter, as well as putting up a bunch of my essays, blog posts, and metas about Arrow, Sons of Anarchy, Battlestar Galactica, etc. I wrote three reviews of Dexter while I was watching it, so those are up as well. I plan on writing weekly reviews about the shows I’m watching this season, as well as metas whenever the mood strikes me.

Wanna know how I grew up to be such a nerd and why I started Fanatical Addict? Guardian of Voracious Viewers

Fascinated by a certain serial killer? My Messy Monster, Trinity Friends, Blood Never Lies
Like Greek Gods and Battlestar Galactica? Good Hunting
Like Shakespeare and Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Buffy & Faith
Sons of Anarchy? Metas & Reviews
Guardians of the Galaxy? Arrow?
Simply looking for a new show: TV Recommendations

This doesn’t mean any of my stories are on hiatus, the exact opposite in fact, I’ll be fresher when I update now. My brain loves options. And if I had my way, I’d get paid to write about television, but since I’m just me, you guys get my opinions and observations for free. Fair warning, though, these posts are not spoiler free in any way shape or form. Just so’s you know.

There’s something for everyone. Give it a try. Start a conversation. I’d love to hear your thoughts, and in general, I love talking about TV. I just do. I live in a town where people are more likely to watch the Kardashians than Dexter. So give me somebody to talk to, my brain will thank you for it. 😉

PS Feel free to share anything you find there. I like the idea of my thoughts being out there in the universe. And it’s a new site, so it could use your help! 🙂 Thanks in advance.

At Arm’s Length

The humidity is gone just in time for me to start my work week! WHOO HOO!!! Just kidding. But at least our kitchen won’t be hotter than the all the levels of hell put together tonight.

The sun is shining and I got this chapter of Pride & Prejudice & Vigilantes (in case you haven’t started this story yet) back from my sister just in time to get it out before I have to get ready for work. (Man, I really wish I were independently wealthy. I’d eat sushi everyday and do nothing but write stories for all of you.)

You know what’ll be great though? Getting reviews and comments for this chapter while I’m waiting on customers. It always makes me happy to remember that serving isn’t my life. Soon I have to start worrying about grad school applications, but until then I’m going to enjoy the last bits of summer that remain. And while doing that I’m going to swoon over Oliver & Felicity.

Once again: My sister is the best beta ever.
So here ya go y’all! Enjoy!

Chapter Five

The Eve of Destruction

Hey everybody! I hope you haven’t melted in the heat and humidity. And if you don’t know what i’m talking about, count your lucky stars! Speaking of, did anyone catch any of the Perseid meteor shower? I live in the city so no shooting stars for me. I’ll just have to hope one of you made a wish for me.

First, I have to confess that in the last chapter I had the meeting between Eric, Sookie, and Desmond happening during the daytime. WHOOPS! It’s because of what was coming in this chapter, but I got ahead of myself. You don’t need to reread the last chapter, just know that I changed it so that meeting happened just after sundown.

Onto the meet of this update. I apologize that these chapters took longer to get out than I expected. You’ll see why. Lots of research and random questions to my sister this time around. Originally this was all one chapter, but it ended up super long, so it got divided up into two. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂

These are the last chapters before we actually begin the actual play. Up until now, I’ve only worked with the backstory that was never fleshed out in the original text. Most of the theater-goers at this time would well versed in the war that Shakespeare mentioned, which, if I recall correctly was supposed to be all the crazy shit between England and Spain that led to the defeat of the Spanish Armada. The Spanish Armada happened in 1588 and Much Ado was written in 1598…so I could be wrong. It is summertime and I gave my Shakespeare brain a vacation.

Anyhow, lemme know what you think! Leave comments! Reviews! Unicorn smiley faces! Whatever floats your boat.

As usual a mad amount of love goes out to my sister for beta-ing. As well as to Kittyinaz and Realjena who were immense helps on these chapters.

But any way it goes, ENJOY!

Smoakin’ Lance Bash

Happy Monday (almost Tuesday) y’all! Or maybe for some of you it’s already Tuesday! You ready for another chapter of Pride & Prejudice & Vigilantes? I certainly hope so, because that’s what I’ve got for you.

My sister’s at Annual Training for the military this week so alas, no beta this time–all the mistakes are all mine. I’m fairly certain she’ll read it and lemme know if I screwed anything up royally, but not until she gets home. On a side note: she’d probably be highly entertained to see the picture I have in my head of what she’s doing this week. It involves a lot of grunting, sweaty men and rolling around in the dirt. Speaking of sweaty men, did anyone catch Stephen Amell’s quick guest shot on WWE Raw tonight? LMAO. I’m so not a wrestling fan, but when my bro-in-law messaged me to say he was on…well, I’d be remiss if I didn’t research this. For science, you know. Science I tell you!

Other than that, I’m trying to be a good girl and not just rewatch Walking Dead all night, so I can take Meredith (my 2004 Pontiac) into the mechanics in the morning. Depending on how long it takes, you might get a new chapter of Much Ado About Vampires sooner rather than later. She’s old. There’s a lot wrong with her.

Anyhow, without further Felicity-like babbling on my part (my filter is always broken–in case you were wondering) I give you the next chapter of PPV.

Chapter Four

Enjoy! Read! Review! Enjoy! Drink whiskey! (oh wait, that’s me…tee hee hee)

Mad Lovely,
Secret Nerd Princess

PS: I’d also like to remind y’all that the 11th & 12th bring the Perseid Meteor shower to you! So go somewhere dark and wish upon a falling star.

Losing the Battle

Hey folks! Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all happy and well.

I’m about to run out the door to volunteer at our local theater and then off to see J Roddy and the Business at the local microbrewery. Full day! Hope my laundry understands that getting a chapter out to you was far more important than any silly household chores.

Without further Ado (see what I did there? wink wink nudge nudge) I present to you the last chapter of the prologue of Much Ado About Vampires.

Chapter three

As always, comments are nice! I like comments. Okay, gonna go put on my boogie shoes.
